Mad About Stripes

While putting away laundry the other day, I made the realization that about half of the shirts in my drawer are striped. When shopping last weekend, I looked down at my pile and saw that every top I'd grabbed wore stripes (and I came home with three of them). I've always liked stripes, but it wasn't until recently that I realized what a collection I had amassed. I love that they're versatile and can go from casual daytime - a red and white cotton henley, jeans, and a trench - to a night on the town - a gold and black silky dress with puffy sleeves, black tights and pumps. I love that a pair of wide legged jeans and a blue and white boat neck T is totally nautical, while a pair of black skinny jeans and a black and white striped jersey top can transport you straight to Paris. They're whimsical, timeless, and work in practically every scenario and color combination. This is a trend that I'll be rocking for years to come.
